2008 Top 10 MLS Player Base Salaries

Did you ever wonder how much the top players were being paid in Major League Soccer (MLS)? Well we have put together the top 10 base salaries for the 2008 season. Based on the list, it looks like midfielders and forwards are paid the most. Only one defender made the list!

Keep in mind that players can make more than the base salary. Things like signing and marketing bonuses, as well as any endorsements will increase their pay. On the opposite end, the lowest base salary being paid in MLS is $12,900.

Its pretty bad when some of the players need to have other full-time jobs, while others make more in a year than most of us will in our lives!
