2009 Top 10 MLS Player Base Salaries

Did you ever wonder how much the top players were being paid in Major League Soccer (MLS)? Well we have put together the top 10 base salaries for the 2009 season. Based on the list, it looks like midfielders and forwards are paid the most. No defenders made the list as compared to the one that made it last year!

The list was probably compiled and finished before the whole Beckham controversy.

Beckham IS coming back..on July 15th! And w/ the whole agreement between the teams, there will be a “friendly” w/ Milan and the Galaxy on July 19th.

And Beckham is not counting against the Galaxy’s salary cap until he returns. So his salary above is in fact correct.

And because Beckham is only playing or half of the Galaxy season, the Galaxy is now offering price cuts on their already sold tickets.
