MLS Expansion: 20 teams by 2012

The Major League Soccer (MLS) has announced their hopeful plans to expand to 20 teams by 2012, although it is not definate.  So far with the 2009 expansion of the Seattle Sounders, there are 15 teams in the MLS. The 16th team will be the new Philadelphia team in 2010 and then Vancouver and Portland in 2011. Continue reading

WPS Inaugural Game

The new Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) League will have its inaugural match on Sunday, March 29 at 6PM EST at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA when the Los Angeles Sol take on the Washington Freedom. The game will be broadcasted on the Fox Soccer Channel (FSC). Continue reading

USA World Cup Qualifiers

The U.S. Men’s National Team have a couple World Cup Qualifiers coming up. The first against El Salvador in San Salvador on Saturday, March 28 at 7pm MT, and then again on April 1st against Trinidad and Tobago at LP Field in Nashville at 6:30pm CT. The El Salvador match will be broadcasted on ESPN2 and Telefutura, while the Trinidad and Tobago game will be on ESPN2 and Galavision. Both matches will be online via ussoccer.com’s MatchTracker.
