American R&B singer/songwriter/producer Akon has been hired as the musical director of the 2010 World Cup. Akon, who is of Senegalese origin, was chosen to produce the official World Cup 2010 anthem and oversee all the official music. FIFA Proposes Yellow Card for Denying an Obvious Goal-Scoring Opportunity

2010 MLS Schedule

The Major League Soccer (MLS) has released the entire 2010 regular season schedule. The season opener, on Thursday, March 25th will be the first ever MLS game for the Philadelphia Union, the League’s 16th team, against Seattle Sounders which will begin its second season. The opener will be at 9:30pm (EST) and will be televised live on ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN360.com. Continue reading
