The 2008 Red Bull Street Style World Finals was held on November 18th in São Paulo, Brazil. Participants from 42 countries competed in one-on-one battles held on a special stage, seven meters in diameter, where they needed to alternate ball possession every 20 seconds while displaying their best ball tricks to the rhythm of music for 3 minutes. As an ending of the 2008 MLS Season, the San Jose Earthquakes were named the recipients of the 2008 Wooden Spoon Award. The San Jose Earthquakes and LA Galaxy finished the 2008 season tied for 13th place with the record of 8-13-9 and 33 points each. The Earthquakes were labeled the winners of the Wooden Spoon through a head-to-head tiebreaker.
