First MLS goalkeeper to score goal!

In a recent game between the New York Red Bulls and the Columbus Crew, goalkeeper Danny Cepero of the New York Red Bulls took a free kick from his own defensive third and ended up scoring a goal! He is the first goalkeeper in MLS history to score a goal!

the opposing goalie must be a backup or something… cuz thats a rookie mistake… Mike and Jerred both could’ve stopped that one… heck, I could’ve.

Not sure about the goalie being a backup. But I don’t think he was expecting that much of a bounce! It was too late at that point!
