USA World Cup Qualifiers

The U.S. Men’s National Team have a couple World Cup Qualifiers coming up. The first against El Salvador in San Salvador on Saturday, March 28 at 7pm MT, and then again on April 1st against Trinidad and Tobago at LP Field in Nashville at 6:30pm CT. The El Salvador match will be broadcasted on ESPN2 and Telefutura, while the Trinidad and Tobago game will be on ESPN2 and Galavision. Both matches will be online via ussoccer.com’s MatchTracker.

USA is tied for first place in the final round hexagonal following the 2-0 victory against Mexico on February 11th in Columbus, Ohio.

This match will be the 19th game between the United States and El Salvador, with the U.S. holding a record of 13-1-4 over El Salvador. The USA is 4-0-2 versus El Salvador in World Cup qualifying games. And the Salvadorans have not scored a single goal against the U.S. since 1997!

The USA and Trinidad and Tobago will face off for the third time in seven months after splitting their meetings in the last round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying. The United States posted a 3-0 win at Toyota Park in September, while Trinidad & Tobago notched a 2-1 home victory against a short-handed U.S. team on Oct. 15th.

And the first 70 minutes of the game was horrible. What was with the El Salvador players falling to the ground hurt? Apparently, the time wasting method didn’t work to their advantage.
