September is Youth Soccer Month

This September is US Youth Soccer’s seventh annual Youth Soccer Month – Celebrating Soccer in America. During the month, US Youth Soccer will be working with local leadership to organize grassroots public affairs campaigns, numerous local events and media relations initiatives.

Currently scheduled are 50 college events, 7  NSCAA Games of the Week on Fox Soccer Channel, and 7 events with Major League Soccer.

The Giant Jersey Tour will also continue for its second year. The tour is a Youth Soccer Month decorated SUV that will be attending events across America to share the excitement and promote the benefits of soccer. Stickley, the US Youth Soccer mascot, will be traveling on the SUV to blog and take pictures with fans at events and major landmarks along the tour’s route.

There will be a different focus of the game each week during Youth Soccer. The four weeks will include: Fun (Week of September 1), Family (Week of September 7), Friendship, (Week of September 14) and Fitness (Week of September 21).
